No, I am from the Basel area about 15 miles from the French border and 5 miles from the German border but it is the German speaking part of Switzerland, not far from where Roger Federer grew up.
My family roots are German and Wiebke is a name used in Germany and the Netherlands but not Switzerland.

I've taken a day off after all the baking am looking forward to a takeaway and an early night before a busy day tomorrow.
 
I've only been to Geneva. Loved it. I asked a lady for directions to a health food store and we ended up speaking for twenty minutes about enzymes in the street. And a lady invited me to dine with her in a cafeteria like restaurant. I got complimented on my fashion style and the man said I had beautiful clothes "pour une américaine (for an American)"

Lots of Gulf state tourists and advertising for vacations in Oman. The French go to Morocco.

A married man gave me his phone number. Lol.
