Hi everyone

Yet another question from novice little me.

Yesterday I brought my boys an igloo each for their "bed" as I had noticed they were starting to show some dominant behaviour towards eachother and thought a bed each rather than to share might help.

Now it has been a very strange day today as Guinness had to visit the vets but I am now having an issue with getting the Guinea's out of the cage when we need too.

Before we just lifted up there house as it didn't have a bottom but the new igloos have bottoms to them. Both boys are still quite shy and would rather not be out and about if we are watching them so they tend to hide away in their beds but when we HAVE to get them out, such as to get Guinness out to give him his antibiotic cream we are struggling.

Sometimes they will come out if we wave something appealing in the front of their igloo but most of the time they won't.

How can we get them to come out of their igloo's so that we can catch them in the cage?

Thanks and sorry, I appear to be rambling and not making very much sense!
Must be tired. sorry!

xx

Hello. Is it possible to lift the whole igloo out, then remove the top and lift out the piggie? I an thinking of the plastic igloos specifically here. But lifting the whole igloo with piggie inside out of the cage should be possible?

Yes it is possible to lift out the whole igloo, good idea. The top is still quite stiff as they're new so it's a bit akward. Never mind, I just wondered if there was an easy sure fire method.

Thank you for your reply and I will give your suggestion a go.

take the bottom off the igloo and keep it off, there is not real reason to keep it on you can always put it back later if you wish
