Hi, looking for a bit of advice.
I have 2 pigs (Bubble & Squeak) who i love to bits. Bubble is a little angel a being picked up and handled but Squeak isnt. She will let me catch her but when I'm lifting her out of the hutch or somewhere, she will frantically kick her back legs trying to get out of my grasp! This makes it very hard for me to keep a firm grip on her therefore i am scared that one day it could result in a injury.
I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to stop her doing this?
Thanks xx :)

Try lifting her inside an object. For example, I now have my three trained to run into a cosy at the end of run time, and I lift this into their cage. Some piggies are nervous about being handled, and like being stroked inside a cosy as they feel more secure. Some people use an upside down pigloo or a tunnel to lift them in. Pigs aren't keen on being off the ground, so will try to scrabble to safety if they don't feel secure.

One of mine used to try to leap off my lap when I first got her, but she soon settled down, they just need time to trust you.
