Hey I’ve had my Guinea pigs for 11 months now and they should won’t let me pick them up one of them will let me stroke them but my other one won’t has anyone got any tips

Most piggies don’t like being picked up - it cuts close to their prey instinct.
The best thing is to herd them into a carrier and pick them up from there.

Not wanting to be stroked is also normal. I only have had one out of my four who enjoys a head stroke

Neither of my current pair like being petted.
The only time I handle them is for health checks and that can be a challenge.
Just let them be.
It may be that in time they will tolerate an occasional head stroke.
Enjoy them for they are, a piggy family can be better than a soap opera to watch
