Okay, in the battle between and pigs (their poop) and the handheld hoover, the pigs have won and the 'poover' has pretty much given up the ghost!

It did only cost £15 from B&M but its lasted less than 6 months!

I wondered if anyone had any recommendations for handheld hoovers that they use for poop-picking that aren't too expensive but are up to the job.

I have a Black and Decker one which is great though does bung up if you hoover up hay too. It was pricey but worth it and looks like a mini cylinder hoover. Also have a GTEC electric carpet sweeper which is great too and gets all the hair up as well. The handle comes off so you can sweep in the cage.

Thanks for the replies. I might try one of these:

I use fleece mainly but wood pellets in the litter tray which kind of turn to dry sawdust when they've been weed on and I tend to hoover this up 1 or 2 times a day. I think this is probably what's killed it rather than the poopies! x

Louise I wouldn't bother! You can get a black & decker one on eBay for less that's better and cheaper! I just looked at one that's 12v for £25 and the amazon one is only 4.8v xx they also have some 8v ones for £20 by Hoover xx
