I brush my fleece after it's been washed with a hair roller.

Buy in pound shops, primark, and pet shops.
Mine is washed at 60 degrees each time. I try to keep hay off the fleece as well.

How does everyone keep their fleece looking good? Even after washing (in a duvet), shaking and brushing it's covered in hair and bits. @My3cuteBoys - I'm tagging you as your fleeces always look spotless! @Chief Guinea Pig - you're my fleece advisor too! You have great fleece!
Hiya sorry for the late reply Ive been at work hun, I brought two off EBay they seemed fine to start with but they have gone bobbly so the hair sticks to them and doesn't all come off, I've bought some of the £5 fleeces from Asda they have been fab, I just brush the poop, hay and hair off it night and morning (using a dust pan and brush, brush) the mess just sweeps off really easy. I shake them before putting them into the wash bag (don't over fill the bag is another tip heard) then when they are on the washing line give them another really good shake. I must of washed these new Asda fleeces 6-8 times so far and they are still fine and still as new :) a winner I think, ohhh and they are not paper thin either.

Thanks Kell, I guess it's more elbow grease for me then:(! I'm using a fairly soft hand brush so I'll try a stiffer bristled one and buy a roller too like the Chief suggested. My Ikea fleece hasn't bobbled btw.

Dustpan and brush works wonders for hay but I found that rubbing the fleece against a brick wall and shaking before washing is the best trick without using rollers. I get some very odd looks from the neighbours though.

Hahaha! That's hilarious! I'm beginning to feel like a Victorian bedchamber maid now. Am expecting someone to advise a washboard and mangle soon! These ungrateful pigs are Hard Work! And they chutter and fling poo as I'm trying to clean their cage, then flounce about messing it up as soon as they're back in. :hb:

I'll try that too though, thanks. I have a wall that's not in view of neighbours ha ha!

I find brushing the fleece with rubber gloves on really helps lifts hairs. And I also think not all fleece is made the same way. I have fleeces which have far easier to clean than others.
I agree suzy I have fleece from at least 4 diffrent places and my Ebay ones have gone horrid yet my others are fine , and rubber gloves are amazing for getting hair of most things :)

Yep get those arms moving Mrs :) I want to get some of the ikea fleece, I think I have one that my lovely friend kindly gave me....I'm just going to check.....
Errr it's not got a label but I'm sure it's an ikea one, if so the Asda ones are a bit thicker :)

Thanks MrsSuzy! Another good tip. Kell, I'll have a look in Asda next time I go. Do you get those stripey cardboard tubes from Asda? I can't find them anywhere at ours.

Ha ha love it Jen :)
Oh I love the Mr man xmas one too :) did you treat yourself? I fold mine over I don't cut them, it's almost a perfect fit if I fold them in half long ways not folded straight down the middle.

I'm going to let the (human!) girls choose when they get home. And maybe choose one myself.... I've also looked at the Xmas bedspreads (for humans!). Gorgeous! Love the Xmas pug!

Great tip, about the rubber gloves @MrsSuzy. Will give that a go myself. I tend to beat and shake them before washing then lint roller when dry. I also use a damp hand to rub the hairs off, but rubber gloves would be so much more pleasant!

Love it Jen ha ha, And I blame Ruth @Flutterby as she sent me a fab Asda fleece and I was so impressed with it that on pay pay I treated myself to a few more

Ha ha! This forum is to blame for lots of my purchases! Have currently got the Mr Men Xmas and the George pig fleece in my online basket. Have admired the duvets too but I know my limits with my OH!

This is so funny. Instead of smuggling expensive clothes past our OHs, we're furtively buying Mr Men fleeces and going "What, this old thing? You've seen this before, darling..."
