hairstyles?

Know of a good magazine or website?

I so desperately want to change my look but have no idea of styles that would suit me? I'm fed up of a medium bob that I have!

Time to change! Ideas all welcome! :)
 
Don't ask me, i've had a medium bob for 20 years ;D :o ::)
 
Yeah they do the colour first. Use tons and then cut the ends off. Seems like a waste to me ?

Wish I could help you Kelly I can never choose hairstyles. Last time I tried something a bit different I ended up looking like a spaniel ;D

Oh we've all done that before, i'm sure they see us coming and say 'lets try her out as an experiment (will not use that awful terminology that they use, grrrrrrrrr)

But yes looks like we all say, go colour first (not permanent) and then try the new hair do style

I used to have mine like Sharon Osborne but have grown it out now. Going to have a cut on Tuesday and havent got a clue what to have!
 
I do too. I'm more nervous of the hairdresser than the dentist. I have long hair so its like they go into a trance and just keep cutting and cutting. :( Hairdressers hate long hair :( And I have a big fat moon face so I need as much hair as possible to counteract it. It doesn't help that I can't explain what I want properly either ;D
 
I've had the same hairdresser Livvy do mine and my daughters hair since she was 1 shes now 11 and Liv knows exactly what we want I just say to her when she says the usual is it, do what you want i trust you and I have never had any complaints, carrie annes hair is long and thick and it needs 6 weekly trims to keep it perfect she use to have a lcoal shop where we went but moved shops further so she comes to my house, she comes to our family partys etc my hiar cuts are fun and chatty
 
Just going for black and red colours for now :)

BUT.. have a problem - Can't seem to find anywhere that sells a red - proper red!
 
The girl that does the shampooing at my hairdressers always says "Oh, its really long" in a disgusted voice like its some sort of disease, then she proceeds to pulling my scalp off under the guise of a "head massage"!
 
I have only been to a hairdresser once when I was 12 for a dodgy perm. Then I had hair I could very nearly sit on, and I had to almost keep hold of it so she wouldn't chop it off. ;D

Then in my 20s I became very ill and lost my hair - it's still growing back, but probably won't ever be that long again. :(
 
Oh no Lucinda - must have been devistating.. Your hair is very much your identity & when it goes its not nice.

I have to have mine quite long because I have a white persons Fro! I need a bit of weight on it to keep it from looking like the wild woman of Borneo. If I straighten it its ok but I'm not the sort of person who 'does their hair'. I wish I was - if I get a brush through it thats good.
Hiardressers insist on putting huge layers in mine - even though I tell them that I don't always get a chance to straighten it. Then because the shortest layer has no weight it pigs up like a mushroom! I did have blue dreads in the past!

I wish I was brave enough to have a really short cut.

Hils, it was awful, I was distraught. But you can see me in the slave gallery and it is coming back slowly :)
