Flutterby your lot are stunning!

Can I be cheeky and ask for more pics of your cages please? You have some wonderful things in there that I might be blatantly copying for my herd!

Do you use hemp? My lot are on fleece

Now that's what I call a cage setup!

My OH is planning on putting a window in the attic so we can open it. Insulation, radiators added and the pigs can be moved upstairs...which will mean that I will have more room. Woo!

I will get rid of the loft so it can join the main cage as one floor and I might extend again another 2x3 grids...more fleece from Ziggy methinks. Full size for 7 will be 15x2 grids...

Sounds like a great plan! Mine are spread over 2 rooms. I used to use liners from Ziggy's Piggys but with 16 pigs it just wasn't working anymore.

I'm not getting more piggies, as 7 is enough, but I do want more room.

How do you clean? Spot clean with full cleans weekly?

I love fleece but I'm always looking for other ideas. Fleece does cut down on the waste

Yes I spot clean daily and then change the dirty bedding weekly :) Mostly its just changing their hay corners where they do the most toileting.

Do you have a lot of waste?

I spot clean once a day, more if I'm not in work. Every 2 days I completely empty and clean the two hay trays as any longer and urine goes through the puppy pads at the bottom.
Every week I replace the cage liners and wash them. This gives me extra 2-3 hour long washes at 60 degrees.
I replace the pads under the liners as needed, usually every 2-3 weeks as the pigs are not in contact with them. They are there just in case urine goes through the liners to protect the Correx.

We have around 4 black bags a week of waste, which we take directly to the skips.

Oh lovely piggies! I stalk Trudie on your Facebook page, she's just the cutest lil thing! I'm her fangirl. :)):)):))
