As * have **** read from my other post had to seperate my 2 boys due to them fighting and an unfortunate incident involving them both getting hurt. Is this set up ok?

Just gave Boris a nice bath which he took to very well and now he seems happy in his new home. Travis is still sleeping think his poor foot is hurting :( x

sorry to hear about the seperation. iv got two boars fighting at the moment its not a nice time. will you let them go together in the run but just keep them in seperate living quarters or is that it now no more bonding?

I'm gonna try them together in a few days let them calm down as this happened overnight. They were fighting last night and then I heard a HUGE crash and noise this morning went in and they were chattering and travis had a bleeding foot and boris had a cut nose so tried them together and they just kept chattering and going for each other :( sad times but they seem ok seperate once there 2 I'm gonna try them with 2 babies

Hope your piggies make friends soon x

Set ups look ok to me :) If you do try rebonding, make sure that there is plenty of space and that you have plenty of time to keep an eye on them.

For the time being, I would keep the cages close so that they can still interact with each other.

at the min I'm keeping them well apart however I have to take them to the vets tuessday and I usually take them in same carry case should i go buy another one? @) Or will they be ok for the 10 min journey x

Hmmmm I have no experiance in boars fighting so I wouldn't know. I should *think* that they should be ok as the drive is only short. But then if they do tussle, you wouldn't want to be putting your hands in to stop them. If you don't want to risk it, I would just get a cardboard box and put lots of hay in rather than buying one. Unless you know you will make good use of it of course :)

aaw thats sad. i was in the exact scenario as * last night my pigs were fighting and chattering, they have been doing it today as well. its frightening isnt it xx

Er, I wouldn't take them in the same case. They may not fight, but you'd be a bit stuck if they did while you were driving. You could just put one in a cardboard box or plastic crate. Or, tesco had a cheap carrier last time I looked.

Their new setups look fine. But I can't help noticing what I think are two electical wires coming down from the switch plates on the wall behind the blue pen. I can't see clearly enough to tell wether the blue pen is close enough to the wires to allow a piggy to chew them.
I also wouldn't have the radiator switched on with a pen rested against it, the piggy would likely get overheated.
I'm not criticising you, I just have a health & safety concious mind.
I hope they forgive each other and make up soon.

I never use that heater so its never on. The cage is far from the wires for him to chew them (it was my first priority as he is a chewer). They seem much more quieter then normal i tried to let Travis see Boris but he ran away shivering. All is not forgiven yet :( x

I feel like a failure to be honest its really getting me down I hate the fact they live apart :0

It's not your fault. And you never know, they may settle down enough to be put back together. I've just put my two boars back together after my sow Thisbe died last year. They haven't been together since their first year; they would not tolerate each other as long as a female was in the house. But finally at age 4 they have mellowed enough to tolerate each other. They're still not friends, but they live in the same cage and don't fight, and I think they find it more interesting to be with each other.
