Hi i had to move an outdoor pig indoors as she has lice again. No-one else has so i suspected she is the only one that is stressed. I have tried bathing her(in the warmer weather) and changing the hay and cleaning them out more. Nothing has worked so have brought her in she in always the last one to the food and by the time she comes out all the best bits have gone. She has been in since thursday - yesterday she ate out of my hand. She is extremly shy and spends most of her time hiding in or under anything she can. I thought she was happy in the shed but now I'm not so sure. She has been with my herd since this time last year and she was used to living outdoors and with other sows.

Depating wether to put her back out in the warmer weather or if she improves indoors to get her a mate. she is next to my other two indoor pigs.

Any sugguestions to whats the best thing for her?? She only weighs 980g and is 1 year and four months old.

Thanks for reading hope someone can help 8:)

It may be better for her indoors so that she doesn't have to compete with the other guineas for food. Does she seem to get on with the others or does she get jossled about by them, when it comes to the food. Could this be her stress do you think. Are your other indoor guineas males, if not would she be able to go in with them? Poor thing, give her a hug from me. Keep us posted as to how she is getting on.

Had she got one friend from the group who could come in with her? I often find if I split a pig out because it's not well, it gets depressed on top of being not well! Also if she's not used to being indoors this can stress them out a bit, with all the noises and activity. Perhaps put a towel over her cage?

If she's indoors you could bathe her and use Lice n Easy shampoo from Gorgeous Guineas. I would keep her indoors until the warmer weather.
