New Born Pup
Hello everyone!
In some of my previous threads, I mentioned that my husband got me a lone guinea pig and a habitat that was too small. He was trying to make me happy and knew I wanted guinea pigs, but just assumed one would be fine if I gave it loads of attention. I set him right, though about them being herd animals and stuff. We started looking for a buddy and bought a bigger habitat (it arrived today!)
Today, I was so happy to be able to do the habitat upgrade and also put my guinea pig's new buddy in with her.
They seem indifferent to each other so far. I first introduced them in a smaller area to observe their behavior together.
Say hi to Gaia (tortoiseshell) and Nyx! (I confirmed they are both female!)
I'm reading different opinions about handling them after doing a habitat change/introducing a new buddy...etc. What is your thoughts on that?
We're also going to do a general vet check up. We like to do that with new pets.
