You guys have absolutely NO clue what I just got yesterday. I am an OBSESSED piggy mother now. Everyone, meet Mocha!

Mocha is a very very tiny Abyssinian pig and she is super skittish and shy. She’s trying to be friends with her new sissy (Butterscotch) who has lived at home for a month before she came in. She has a white nose, black on one side of her tummy, and brown on the other. There’s not much more to say about her, as she is currently settling in and I haven’t starting bonding time with Mocha. Right now, we are observing how the two get along and making Mocha feel right at home. Enjoy the pix!

She’s gorgeous! May I ask what you mean when you say you haven’t started bonding yet? Did you put the newbie straight in Butterscotch’s cage?

If you’ve put them together in a neutral area (pile of hay, some veg, no hides) then you need to see it through to whatever the conclusion may be. You shouldn’t put them together then separate for the night as it can be stressful for them. Each meeting is a chance to sort out the hierarchy. When you interrupt the process, they have to start again from the beginning.

All the best and hope they get on like a house on fire.

Awww super cute. I'm going through the bonding process with a new piggie having lost my original piggies little friend. The guys on here have been super helpful in giving me advice. I hope all goes well x

Awwwww. So sweet. Hope the bonding goes well 🤞

Oh, sorry about that! Yes, she has been bonding well with her new sister. I meant I gave her a few days to get acclimated before I’m able to start bonding with her. All has been good! They are now currently eating a feast of fruits and veggies!
