Hey folks
I'm a little puzzled, one of my guinea pigs has the loudest tummy, I've only noticed it in the past few weeks, I've never heard a guinea pig with such a loud tummy, she's eating and pooping normally, drinking fine, moving around happily and is eager for food every day.
I've felt her tummy and it feels soft and found no lumpiness or tightness and it seems a normal girth, having handled a bloated piggy, definitely does not feel the same.
I'm currently in the worst month for being in contact with covid (I've had it at the beginning of the month, and been in contact with it again twice more since I got better so I've been utterly stuck! so annoying.) so I can't exactly get to the vet rather annoyingly and there isn't anyone really to help me out there. But she seems completely fine I'm not even sure there is anything to look at.
But I just wanted to see if anyone had anything different to say.

Doesn't seem to correspond to any specific food, I've been giving them a variety which changes daily, Cucumber and a little bit of carrot is the only thing that's really consistent, otherwise I range what they get each day with lettuce, kale, spinach, celery, pepper, sometimes grass and forages from outside but my gardens dry as a bone right now so not much of that lately.
They always have hay available, a mix of meadow and timothy, hard food is provided daily (I use burgess not usually fussy on what they're on the orange packet at the moment) so thats usually available as they don't tend to eat all of it between one feed and the next. They have some of those compacted grass chews that hang from the cage.
All the piggies eat the same, she's the only one with a gurgly tum, think she's about a year or two old now I've lost track a little but I have it written down somewhere. Long haired piggy that I keep trimmed and she's an utter beast of chaos, hasn't yet had to visit a vet for any issues.
Any ideas? Anyone else had a guinea pig with a super loud tum? Do I just have a piggy with a noisy gut or might there be something more sinister?
Once I'm definitely clear of covid I'm intending to take her and her cage mate to the vet as her cage mate seems to sneeze every time he eats (he is neutered I should stress that, no babies here), that started during this covid chaos as well, as well so the pair of them have some oddities that need looking at when I can finally get out.

I’ve no experience with gurgle tummy but if you are worried then there’s no harm in getting her checked over by the vet. How has her weight been? If it’s steady (roughly around the same five or take a few grams) then it should be okay.

I know you haven’t asked about it, but is prefer to mention it. Be careful how much kale, carrot, spinach and pellets you give. Kale and spinach are high in calcium and only one should be fed once a week. Carrots are high in sugar and should be an occasional treat. Pellets also contain a lot of calcium so it’s best to restrict them to one tablespoon each per day. They shouldn’t be available all the time.

Hopefully it’s nothing and you’re also feeling better. If you haven’t tested positive you should be okay to be out and about. Perhaps just wear a mask?

If you are concerned then a vet visit is always a good idea.
But I also had a piggy with a bit of a noisy tummy - Lucy was our one who had loud tummy noises that you could hear when you held her.

I do find that some piggies digestion can change as they get older, but 2 isn't particularly old.
If you have any probiotics on hand you could always give her a few days worth just to cover your bases?

But honestly if her weight is stable, and she seems lively and happy then it is probably nothing to worry about.
Do you weigh weekly?
