Hi,

Does anyone use the Guineville indoor cage for their guinea pigs? I am thinking of purchasing one but not sure if people find them good?

My biggest concern is that i have boars and they spray the walls, they say the base is covered with a waterproof protector but do people find this keeps them clean?

Thanks in advance!

Sam

Not heard of it. Tried to google it but nothing came up. Do you have a link?

I've not used them as mine are all out doors.
Probably worth consider if you have any other pets as it has no lid.
I like the look of them I would go with the optional top section to give more room and I'd probably ensure it does have a protective layer...or purchase some lino and do it yourself. I suppose the urine spraying is no different to any other housing.

Boyles pet housing do a similar one. They look great. I agree that lino would be a good idea and cuprinol garden shades paint or similar to protect the wood.

It does look wonderful, but I agree with others that it might be worth either painting the walls, covering them with lino, or cutting a correx insert to size.
I would worry with piggies that spray, that over time it would get a bit whiffy.
For indoor piggies I am a big fan of wipe clean surfaces.

I keep them in a c&c cage at the moment with no lid and they've been fine so wasn't concerned about a lid. Yes i was going to ask them to customise it with a loft area, they have said they will treat the bases as standard but not the sides, i'm not keen on lino but was thinking of maybe a painted protective layer?

Agree totally i like wipe clean surfaces! Ideally i'd like a painted layer though not sure what is best to use that would survive a wipe down 1/2 times a day!
