Guineas finally settled down

After 3 years my guinea have finally stopped running and hiding when anyone walks (or runs, skips, dances MULAN JR etc) by. Is this normal that after awhile guineas will get used to to a pounding beat caused by feet?

I think after awhile they get used to familiar noises. I have three kids under ten and our piggies live in the family room, so they are really accustomed to kid-related noise. What cracks me up is that if we take them outside, they will startled and stand alert at every single 'outdoor' sound- the wind, a car going by, a bird chirping. And yet the kids screaming and running five feet away get totally ignored because they're used to that!

I sing/scream all over the house. You can blame Mulanjr, RENT, Spring Awakening etc and pandora for that. They just sit and watch...
