Actually forgot I had these old photos- they escaped one day but Jimmy the gentlest giant (RIP) did nothing but watch them! They had been kept in horrific conditions- no hay and sleeping quarters were layers of poo with maggots. I persuaded the owner to let me take them. The first time they saw grass I cried!

In truth it was actually a very dear friend who at the time was just struggling with life in general- sadly these things happen.

When I hear about guinea pigs being mistreated it makes me very sad but I will always love hearing their rescue stories

The mostly brown one belonged to my vet- he had been left with one lonely boat after others had died. He asked if I would take him and if so he’d neuter him for free! So I did
