Guineapig making a low almost barking sound?

Sometimes, I'm not sure which Gunieapig, but I notice they make like it's hard to explain and I haven't been able to catch it in a recording, it's almost like a barking noise?
maybe closer to a groan.
They only make it once every so often, and it not continuously So does any one have an idea of what it could mean?

I’m afraid without being able to hear the noise you mean it’s a big guessing game for us! Could it be coughing?
Equally, sounds are also context based and can be harder to interpret without seeing what is going on at the time

I'll see if I can get a recording, but it only ever happens when it really quiet, and I don't even know which pig is making it

It just sounds like the noise they make when they're being domineering to me
