Hi I need help! I have 2 guinea pigs and they’re both itching and biting at their fur. I DON’T see any red spots, hair loss, or flakey skin. My pigs are still running around, popcorning, eating drinking and playing. I see no signs of stress just the itching and biting. I'm not sure if it’s mites or bugs, or if they could be allergic to something. They’re both under a year old. Please help!

Ok. Do get them to a vet.
dont be tempted to treat them with anti parasite treatments from a pet shop as you don’t have a diagnosis plus over the counter treatments arent strong enough to deal with a parasite problem. You need the correct strength and correct length course

I agree with the others.
They need to be seen and diagnosed properly by a vet.
Many skin problems and parasites can't easily be seen with the naked eye, and only a vet can give you proper strength treatments to clear these up.

On the plus side they are generally quite quick and easy to treat, and hopefully your piggies will be feeling less itchy soon.
