We have recently moved the guinea pigs into the kitchen rather than being outdoors. However, I'm worried that the cooking will affect them? Has anyone else got there piggies in the kitchen and does it affect them?

Not guinea pigs (they occupy my bedroom) but my hamster Fred lives in the kitchen and doesn't seem to be affected so I suppose it'd be the same for guinea pigs. My first piggy Vinnie occupied the kitchen for a week before moving upstairs. I just wouldn't have them near the oven or hob.

They are in the kitchen they seem unaffected, they can definitely smell it as they can be seen with their noses up but the kitchen is quite narrow so they are about 1m away from the oven and hob. Hopefully that's far enough

My piggies spend half day in the kitchen for their floor time; their cage is in the living room linked with the kitchen (no walls and doors are separating the two rooms). Despite the fact half of my meals end up burnt we are all still alive...:))
The only thing I recommend is being sure that the passages behind the fridge and the stove are closed; it would be dangerous if a piggie would reach hidden zones where there are cables and plugs.
I use two garden fences (the ones made of wood, they can be closed when piggies are into their cage) for closing dangerous zones:
