So I didn’t know in which forum to put this so I’ll just put it here. My baby girl Oreo is a long haired piggy. I left my two piggies with my dad as I was gone for the week. He’s done this before and looks after them very well. I came back this week and it looks as though someone has just gone and shaved her! Her hair isn’t falling out and she hasn’t been scratching, she’s just suddenly got short hair! I don’t know what’s going on, I’ve never seen anything like this before. And my dad says he hasn’t shaved her, and I believe him.

Some pigs will start barbering their cagemates if there's a stressor or a new setting... in one of my past pairs, Sundae would barber Hadley whenever we went to the cottage. She didn't do it any other time. Something about the stress of moving from one place to a less familiar place just brought it out in her, although she seemed otherwise calm. Hadley always had a really bad home haircut in the summer months because of that!
