Hello Piggie Friends

Wondered if anyone has taken their piggies on holiday and know of any holiday cottages etc who accept Guinea pigs? Would like to go for short break away beginning of September? Devon or Dorset area would be good, only a couple of hours journey for my boys Bill and Ted.

The house and adjoining lodge where we just stayed say on the agent's website that they accept pets, but they aren't available until the second half of September unfortunately. They are with English Country Cottages, which has a filter for 'pets allowed', if you haven't already tried them.

No I have not tried that site, lots say pet friendly, and turn out to mean dogs, so will look at that site.

Have a look at Boturnell Barns, we stayed with them in 2003. They say they are very pet friendly so it wouldn't surprise me at all if they permitted guinea pigs! They are near Liskeard

I find that if they say they'll accept dogs they will probably allow you to take the piggies. I am going to stay in a cottage in Wales soon and we just rang up and explained we had a guinea pig and would it be okay to bring him in his cage. The lady was absolutely fine about it - they'll cause less mess than a dog! :) I would just always ring and ask, we haven't had one holiday cottage that has turned us down yet! :)

Yes, I'll do that, I read on one site that they had even taken a boa constrictor along on holiday! Hope he behaved his self, it was at a farm, not quite in the area we wanted for us though!
