Guinea Pigs Free Range On Shed Shelf, How High Should The Sides Be?

Hi Everyone,

We are converting our garden shed into a piggie palace (hopefully…..) I am planning on having them on a free range platform. I have decided this is the best option for me as I'm having some back issues so I won't have to bend down too much as they will be at waist height. Has anyone done similar? my main concern is for the height of the surround going around the shelf. i'm looking to do something like this:

has anyone got any good suggestions of height of the sides as it will not have a lid/roof

I think (I've not got a tape measure on me at the moment) about 14 inches

I agree with the above measurements. It's definitely a good idea to have something at waist height, makes cleaning a lot easier
