I'm not sure what to do so I gave them dandelion leaves and I'm not sure if it made them worse.
They seem alright for now, should I get an emergency vet appointment?

Hi

The wild hedge bindweed (white flowers) is not poisonous to guinea pigs.

If you are actually dealing with a piggy looking very off and losing their appetite in the wake of eating poisonous plants:
- Please contact your closest vet clinic asap for an emergency appointment or call your specialist clinic for advice over the phone if you cannot be seen immediately.
You will piggy generally need a gut emptying stimulant like metoclopramide/emeprid and your vet may also recommend activated charcoal. Any further measures depend on your vet and the suspected culprit (easing of poison specific symptoms). Guinea pigs are rodents and do not have a vomit reflex, so they cannot bring back up what has gone down - it has to pass through the system.
- Take your piggies off any fresh food and start with syringe feeding; ideally hay based recovery formula or mushed up pellets in a pinch until you can get hold of formula. Also offer water after every few feeds but never squirt it just into their mouth as it could go into the lungs.
