I am about to order an outdoor hutch for two male guinea pigs. The problem is where to locate it. I want to buy a lovely big wooden ark (Forsham Cottages) but I don't have grass, just wooden decking and big borders with wood bark/mulch. If I bought finer grade bark/mulch would that be suitable for guinea pigs? Help ?:))

I don't know... Would you be able to clean it? The piggies will wee and poo all over it so you need to be able to sweep it out at intervals or they will be up to their ancles in poo. Or move the hutch to a clean spot...

I know some people keep their hutches on concrete and that works...

Thank you...I know what you are saying re poo and wee...the 'floor' would need sweeping out regularly. A friend has her GP's on decking and she has some kind of tray for the ground floor so that they're not walking directly on to decking...too many options.
