Hi all,

I have two guinea pigs that currently live in my family home but they are coming to live with me and my partner soon.
We currently live in a flat and are both involved in some hobbies including Warhammer.
My pigs are due to be moving into the living room which is also where the Warhammer miniatures and building is done at our desk. The room is a fair size and they'll be on opposite sides of the room. We also have a dehumidifier with a built in air purifier next to the desk.
The paints (Citadel) have no smell and are non toxic but I'm concerned about the plastic glue. All spray can painting is done outside but I'm also concerned about any residual smell.
Can anyone offer any advice or let me know if I'm just being paranoid please, I really don't want to put them at risk but we've got nowhere else to keep them!

Thank you

Hello that’s a dilemma …… lovely that the piggies are coming to live with you 🥰
Could you use the glue elsewhere and put the figures to dry elsewhere ?
I know guinea pigs are sensitive to smells - the air purifier/dehumidifier might help
Hopefully someone with more experience will be able to offer advice

I'd be concerned even with the air purifier as those types of glues work by melting the plastic, and melted plastic fumes really aren't good to be breathing in. Is it possible to do the glueing in a seperate space?

Thank you for your reply! Yep, we've figured out somewhere else for the gluing

Ah that’s great you’ll feel better not having to worry !
Sometimes we find a way round these difficult decisions 🥰
