Hello, I have a four year old male guinea pig named Arnold. He’s been in pretty good health and care all his life but this morning I noticed he had a red lump with some white discharge around his inner eye corner. Any idea what this could be from? He lives alone in his cage so no worry of a cage fight. Just looking for answers for my little guy! Here is a photo of it.

Poor Arnold. It looks like it could be hay poke. I would take him to the vet to get some eye drops to help the healing.

Yes, it's a reaction to either an injury (hay poke usually) or a piece of hay in the eye. Get him to the vets today for them to have a good look and prescribe some drops and pain relief.
