Guinea Pig Weight

Hello, I just read that if you can feel your guinea pig's ribs (not see, just feel), it means that they aren't overweight. Is this correct?

Hello I'm not sure, I can't feel any of my guinea pigs ribs except my newest girl honey and the vet said she feels thin and didn't say any of the others were over weight though.

Weigh her at the same time every day, normally if they have a full bladder you may find a 50g difference. What does she weigh now & how old. Did you get her from a rescue or pet shop. If it's the latter I'm not going to shout, but it may make a difference. Does she have the sniffles, or hunch up or cry when she wee's. Is she eating well?

She's between 1 and 2 years old. I got her and her friend from two different shelters, and she weighs 2.4 pounds. I was worried that she was pregnant, but I just got back from the vet, and he said that she probably was not, but to keep monitoring her. She eats very well, and I have not noticed her doing any of the things you mentioned. Here's a picture.

She's the same weight as my heaviest piggy so I'd imagine she's fine My lightest pig is way lighter than that

I believe that can range between 850-1,300 grams (sorry idk pounds) so she would be right in the middle
