Hi I have a really weird question but I recently changed my guinea pigs from musli to pellets and I have noticed today that one my males have been trumping and it smells really bad it smells like a eggy one what should I do should I change the food back or is this normal as my males have never done it smelling like this before.

Piggies do pass gas. If you are worried that the change in food has upset his digestion at all then do see a vet.

Did you change the food over slowly over a week or two changing out the ratio of the food over time.
(ie Day 1 - 90% old food, 10% new food
Day 2 - 90% old food, 10% new food
Day 3 - 85% old food, 15% new dood
Etc etc
Day 10 - 5% old food, 95% new food )

Please don’t change the food back to muesli as they shouldn’t eat muesli. You would be better off to not give any dry food at all (onot feeding hay and veg instead) than to go back to muesli

Are you sure it's trumping? A lot of boars are giving out a bit of stink at the moment with "spring fever"
