Hello All,

I recently adopted Rolo & Roxy. They where showing Dominance behaviour a few weeks back but have since settled and getting on really nicely...until today.

out of the two Roxy is the best to handle, they both let me hand feed them but Rolo will fight to be picked up. This morning I tried to get Roxy out and she was having none of it and I thought that was not like her, it wasn’t until I watched thecamera’s back and she was rumble strutting, trying to Mount Rolo, could this be her in heat? If so what should I do, not handle her for a while?
Thank you!

When they’re more comfortable they usually feel more confident letting you know what they do and don’t like. But yes, mounting and humping can happen when they’re in season. If she doesn’t like being picked up then leave her. But the majority of piggies don’t like being picked up anyway. Perhaps use a hide or box to pick her up with, rather than your hands.
