Help my Guinea pig makes a little hoot and sometimes a louder one with a slight crackly voice I took her to vet and they said she’s fine but since then she’s still making the sound what do I do? She eats drinks and runs around and is energetic and seems normal I don’t know if she’s ok or not she’s also pooping and peeing fine normal color no issues..

Hooting ie a noise from the nose can be because of nasal irritation. Hay dust etc is in the airways. Piggies have narrow airways and don’t breathe through their mouths so any noise is noticeable. It should clear after a sneeze.
It can also be caused by irritants in the room like candles, sprays, perfumes.
If it goes on for longer than a few hours or happens repeatedly then see a vet.

Cracking from the chest can be a concern for potential URI and always needs a vet check.

If the sound has not stopped then we would always advise a further vet check in case something on the chest is now more noticeable
