Can anyone help? I have to male Guinea pigs. They have a large cage that I spot clean every day but it still smells really bad I don’t know what to do. I know about the baking soda trick but it doesn’t help them much. I don’t know what to do about it

The smell usually comes from two sources and unfortunately one of which you can’t do much about

Often the smell can be from wet hay - make sure you remove any wet hay and bedding daily.
What bedding are you using?
If fleece, make sure it is wicking properly and that the absorbent layer underneath is sufficient.

Otherwise, boars will scent mark, particularly if they are teenagers and hormones are high. There is nothing you can do about this, it’s normal for them to do so. However, cleaning too much can make them scent mark even more and therefore increase the boarly smells. It can help to only clean half the cage at a time, that way some of it always smells like them

You say a large cage, do make sure it is big enough (180x60 is recommended for two boys) as sometimes the smell can be made worse by a space which isn’t quite big enough

Baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) is toxic to rodents, including guinea pigs so I’d not use that.

I think the post above covers it but we have an air purifier in the room which helps and air the room out twice a day.

They have fleece bed, and yes there cage is a little larger than 180x60. But thank you for this I will try cleaning half there cage. Should I clean one half one day then the other half the next day? Or should I leave a couple days between each half?

One half one day and the other half the next is fine.
