Hey

Just noticed pancake swaying her behind from side to side slowly. what does this mean?
Thanks :)

It sounds like an assertion of dominance over other piggies. I assume from your avatar that you have at least two guinea pigs. Pancake is just letting her friend know who's boss.

Hi have two girls, Fudge does a bottom wobble (boggle) quite regular especially when Pickle tries to get in to the bedroom, not that pickle takes much notice untill she gets kicked out and has to go to the other one! x

Rumblestrutting without the rumbling! Sounds like a light dominance behaviour to me.

I do have to say, I *love* the term slow bottom wobble. It's a really great way of describing it! :))

id definately say she is trying to show the other piggies that she is boss!

yes this is all correct, its a sign of dominance to say whose boss, and basically in a way, squaring up to one another! nothing to worry about, unless they really start fighting - which doesnt seem to b an issue

I love the bum wiggle, mine do it a bit if they are grumpy, but maybe it could be that one of them is in season. Hadn't thought of that. Thanks.xx

I have noticed Pancake trying to mount Izzy a few times recently. They do seem happy together but like all the comments I think Pancake is showing who is boss as she was a lone piggy until I got Izzy
xx

I am surprised to see that this is a "grumpy" behavior. I always call it my one pig's Happy Dance.. She does it to greet me when I walk in the room and at food time. (she does it every day, all day) It is almost always followed by a bit of popcorning! She also seems to do it alot after a nice cuddle when I stop petting her... as to say "I want more!".
