Why does one of my boys make loads of noise when he's sleeping, it's a constant chunnering/low squeak sound?

Hi, they may just be dreaming about something...ive watched mine twitch and wheek in their sleep before...if you're concerned their might be something wrong with them a vet visit is always good...itll bring you peace of mind and then you can make up scenarios of what they may be dreaming about...

Does he do it when he's awake? I don't even know if they snore! If it's his breathing which is noisy while he's awake it's something to be bothered about, but if he's just chatting along to himself that's quite normal. My boar revs up like a little musical motorbike before he comes rumbling and chuttering out of his hidey - it's his way of saying "look out ladies, here I come!"
I wonder if you could record it and link it into here?

Hi

How old is your boy? I would recommend to have him vet checked just in case. Guinea pig airways are very small and they are also not much in the way of mouth breathers so the least obstruction is always very audible and can be somewhat alarming. Older piggies can have less elastic airways, which means that they can be noisier when sleeping (normally piggies shouldn't make any sound).

If it is a regular occurrence, please have him checked for either a pain issue in the body or a potential problem in respiratory tract.
