Guinea pig safe wood?

Hi all,

I'm planning on upgrading my piggies cage to a DIY cage and I was wondering if it would be safe to make it out of chipboard? If not are there any other woods or other materials I could make it out of.

um i just researched it and it said that chipboard is totally fine and that a lot of toys are made from it according to google and if they chew it or eat it then it wont harm them.
