Guinea Pig Running on Side

My female guinea pig, Freckles (7yr) has ovarian cysts but the vet said they can't be removed because she is too old and the operation would be too risky. She also has arthritis. The vet said she lays on her side because her legs are stiff. She does this about once a month and it usually lasts an hour or so. I hate seeing her like this. Is there anything I can do for her when she does this?

Could you please tell us how old your piggy actually is and what pain relief she is on for her arthritis. Are you giving additional joint care? Are you righting her up when she topples over because of her stiffness?
