Guinea pig room?

In my room there's a space that goes in about 6 by 8-10 feet long, I was thinking of making it into an area for the piggies. Good idea?
For the bottom I was thinking of laying down a tarp then puppy pads and then fleece and cleaning regularly once a week, still having their cage
bottom on the ground in it filled with hay/hides and all that. There would be a puppy/baby gate around the opening.


The room is carpeted...

Definitely. If I can find the right stuff, maybe make box hides like hobbit houses.

Sounds like a great idea! Have you thought about putting down some coxtex if you can get hold on any? It’s ridgid so may be easy than a tarp but I’m sure the tarp will work fine!

It’s like a ridged thin plastic. It’s quite cheap, people use it as a base for C&C cages.
