Earlier today, I was spraying a cleaning spray on a couch and the noise seemed to really scare my guinea pig, he then ran into many things in his cage and including grid panels, then he went to his house and just sat there making a noise Ive never heard before, it was almost like whimpering of some sort. I took him out to see if he was okay and he seemed fine but the only thing that really stuck out to me was how easily he came out of the cage. I have been handling him more often so maybe hes just used to coming out, but he has always been very difficult to get out of his cage and after this happened I noticed how much it easier it was for me to grab him. he seems pretty okay and is still eating and drinking, just a little less active, but I can't tell if thats because it was very late and around the time they got to sleep. He also wasn't showing any symptoms of being sick or anything besides that. Was just nervous he might have a concussion or brain injury or anything like that. Please give me advice or things to watch out for.

If something startled him he may have been easier to pick up simply through being scared.

If you are worried about him then you can always see a vet but it is not likely he has caused himself a brain injury.

Aside from seeing a vet for any concerns, home care now would be to cover part of the top of the cage with a blanket or sheet so that he feels more secure. You could always do extra (daily) weight checks to ensure he is eating enough.

Thank you!
