It could be a UTI or stones. Your pig needs to see a doctor as soon as you can!

There is some veg that can cause urine to look pink. But if you’re worried then please take piggy for a check with the vet.

Have you given you piggie any veg with vibrant red colours recently (raspberries, red pepper ect) if so move away from them for a few days see if it clears up. But in the meantime I think a checkup with the vet is in order

Please see a vet in the coming week during regular opening hours. Urinary tract problems generally present with very similar symptoms, so it is often an elimination process. With a urine infection (UTI), a bacterial cystitis or a sterile recurring cystitis it usually takes several days for symptoms to firm up and become constant and not off and on. Ideally you vet should palpate the bladder to see whether it is hard or soft to judge the likelihood of a stone or sludge issue being at the bottom; an x-ray will bring confirmation if there are any concerns in that direction.

If your piggy is suddenly looking very off, suddenly losing weight very quickly, off their food and increasdingly lethargic, then it is very likely that a bladder stone has been washed into the urethra and is blocking it. This is a life or death see a vet or out-of-hours vet asap emergency that you should be aware of. Otherwise, normal opening hours are perfectly fine with any urinary tract issue.

Please don't panic but seek vet care if you find more red-stained pees.

^^ As per above. I gave my girls some red cabbage once and their pee was this colour as well. Took away the cabbage and they were just fine. Hopefully that’s all it is!

First check and make sure that the blood is coming from their urine, if you find it is from the poop then I would contact a vet as soon as possible. If you are positive that it is from the pee then I would first think of what wiggles you fed them last, say it was a veggie like a beet that is very high in pigment that would answer your problem. If you didn't feed any veggies that could cause the pee ti change color then I wold search the cage for little powdery areas and if you find some then that shows a build up of calcium which can lead to bladder stone or is bladder stones, then I would see a vet. If you aren't sure then I would still recommend seeing a vet.
