Hello, just today my little guy rocky passed at the age of 4, last friday he was diagnosed with parasites and before that he was underweight and in the progress of gaining weight which was going good until the diagnosis, today in the morning he wasn't looking to good and was declining, his stool was also back to being mushy and watery, he dropped more weight and was down at 650grams, he wasn't even bothering to swallow the critical care so that's when i called the veterinarian (Which today was also the day to give her a update about him) which she said he has to be hospitalized. When i brought him they said it's a good chance he won't make it, and a half a hour after dropping him off she called us to come back and say goodbyes because at that point he was just lying on his side. I just feel so upset about the whole situation, he was a really good and kind piggie and i truly miss him. When i brought him home, I showed his body to his cage mate ace and will be sure to pay special attention to him.

I'm so sorry you lost your boy. You did the best you could by getting him to a vet but it must be heartbreaking. Look after yourself. Popcorn free in the rainbow lands little Rocky 🌈❤️

So sorry to hear this news.
Be gentle with yourself as you grieve.

The Rainbow Bridge thread is a place where you can post a tribute to Rocky if you want to.

I am so sorry for your loss!
It sounds like Rocky had some underlying issue, which can often not be easy to diagnose. Parasites often hit when the immune system is lowered. Unfortunately once the body has started to close down, there is nothing anybody can do. :(

Popcorn free at the Rainbow Bridge, Rocky!

I am sorry, I don't no what I would do if I lost Muffin or Marshmallow, I am sure he had a good life with you though.

Thank you guys, all these comments make me feel better about rocky :) I've started to look at the happy times i had with him.
