Hi everyone

We have sadly lost our piggie recently, he was so playfull and no signs of illness, we found him laid on his side and his legs kicking in the air, we tried to comfort him as much as we could but he passed about 5 minutes later which seemed a life time, i am feeling guilty thinking what could i of done differently and really struggling with it all. i know he will be happy over rainbow bridge
 
So sorry for your loss. Guinea pigs are very good at hiding illness as they are prey animals, it’s not your fault at all just sadly it’s a part of having guinea pigs. We had something very similar happen to our pig and it’s crushing, but it’s not your fault!

Welcome to the forum, I'm sorry it's in these circumstances.
Unfortunately, due to irresponsible breeding, too many of our little friends have congenital issues that leave them life limited.
We can only comfort ourselves that we give them a life of happy todays as they live in the moment.

thankyou, it just makes it worse knowing how young he was, we got him from pets at home, we have looked into it all and ot says they dont breed them properly
 
Have you been left with a remaining single pig? If yes may I advise that you contact a rescue to find a new companion, many of them offer boar dating so you don't need to worry about bonding them yourself.
