It's the strangest thing. Whenever I am on the phone or on a zoom call, one of my piggies promptly exits his bed and drinks loudly from the water bottle all while I'm talking. When I finish the call, he goes back to bed. šŸ˜‚It's most inconvenient as those on the end of the line can constantly hear the loud rattling of the bottle. It happens too often to be a coincidence.
Maybe he thinks because I'm talking it's time to come out and be awake and busy.
Has anyone else noticed this?

One of mine used to get frustrated at the small amount of water given by bottled and would yank on the bottle spout, banging it against the cage and therefor banging the cage and the table it was sat on against the wall. The bottle got confiscated and a bowl put in. Happy pig got to drink as much water as she wanted to and get herself as wet as she liked!

Haha they do keep us amused!

Brillo likes to drink very noisily as soon as we settle down to watch a DVD. He will go and rattle the bottle for ages go back to bed for a few minutes then get up and do it again for the duration of a film. It's the only time he does it as much and it seems too regular to be a coincidence.

Comet liked to drink noisily at 3am.

Comet liked to do anything as noisily as possible at 3am. Blitzen was more likely to drink from a bowl than a bottle, especially if he thought you were watching, but he would at least drink. Jack and Jake both liked to beat the crap out of their water bottles - they're the reason I don't buy plastic bottles now if I can help it, I don't know what circle of hell they learned to drink in, but they didn't drink so much as attack the spout with their teeth. And a plastic cap can only take so much abuse before they'd somehow pull the spout clear of the cap. So many broken bottle caps
