how much does vets4pets guinea pig neutering cost in uk, i’ve been wanting to neuter my male guinea pig.

When I had Dylan castrated earlier on the year it cost me £85, when I had Oliver and Finley done 2 years ago it was £75. It won't be massively expensive but do make sure the surgeon doing it has done plenty before and has a high success rate.
The biggest part of any operation cost is the general anaesthetic - and that is determined by the duration of the operation.

Vets4pets is a franchise and therefore the prices differ between different surgeries. You will need to call any local vets for an estimate on costs.
What I will say is, even for routine surgery like neutering, vet experience with guinea pigs is key in the procedure going well and the piggy recovering quickly. There is always the potential for complications but these are very much minimised by experience. I would definitely consider paying a slightly higher price for a knowledgeable and experienced guinea pig vet to reduce the risk as much as possible

i use a local exotic vet that has done all my boar neutering 20 in total ,and no post op problems on any of them.It cost £180.00 in total .Thats with an overnight stay in a special rodent cages.medication as well.i do not mind paying for experience.
