So I already have a vet visit scheduled for this week coming up but I’m a worried piggy mom. My guy has had a run in with his old cage mate years ago so his lip is split all the way up basically. But he has gotten chellitis(sp?) in the past so ik how to treat that so I have been doing so since it appears to resemble that currently. But he let me look in his mouth a tad and there are 2 lumps I am not sure if I even noticed before. Maybe I’m more paranoid? No idea. Just wanted to see what you all think. He still seems to be eating fine and doesn’t show discomfort unless I Ama using a warm cloth on it or just messing in general with it to check it out. For the photos he was great though, almost fell asleep there!

@Has22 Bless him! They don't look sore or fresh, could they have been there a while? Or I wonder if it's chelitis again. My Podrick has a split lip where he was in a fight and it looks a bit like that where it has healed wonky.

Sorry, I'm not really sure at all what it could be.

Let us know how he gets on at the vet.

I just have never seen those 2 round lumps in there before. That’s my main thing idk about the lips I’m used to

Hi, I would take your piggie to the vets to get these checked out. Lumps around the mouth area can be many things so it’s best to get an exotic specialist vet to check it out. Xx

Yeah I know. Like I had said in my post I have my appointment at the vet already scheduled for this week. I was just asking anyone here if they have experienced this too.

Hiya, so glad you’ve got your vet appointment scheduled, let us know how you get on. Over the past few months one of my piggies has had tremendous problems with her lip/mouth. I’m sorry I can’t advise anymore other than to send you healing vibes. Xx

This is something only a vet can really check out for you. Please let us know how you get on.
