Guinea pig making weird noise when breathing

Hi I am new here but I have a problem.
I noticed that my guinea pig is making odd loud noises when she is breathing (she is a female and is 6 almost 7) These noises are very prominent and alarming because a few hours before she didn't seem to have this problem( we noticed it within the last 24 hours) . It sounds like she has some sort of wheeze or a stuffy nose. We checked her heartbeat its steady and her teeth are completely fine but we listened closely and it sounds like a breathing issue. She doesn't seem to be in discomfort and she is eating and drinking regularly. We are going to bring her to the vet soon. But any ideas what it could be?

Make sure there aren’t any irritants in the room she’s in - candles, perfumes, air fresheners etc.

Hello and welcome to the forum She could have the beginning of a uri or it could be something simple like a bit of hay dust stuck up her nose but it’s good you are having her vet checked. Please let us know how you get on x

Definitely get vet to check ... sounds like breathing issue (might be nothing) but my coco sounded the same too... if they have discharge in eyes or nose, then definitely a vet visit .. respiratory infection can hit fast .. hope she is ok and not an infection .
