Guinea Pig Hutch Size

Hi!,

At the moment I have 4 piggies living in 2 hutches - 2 in each ( 4ft by 2ft) and in the future I am hoping to upgrade their hutch.

They all are friends and I switch who is with who in each hutch every day and almost every day they go out together so they would be fine living together.

But in the future I will only have 2 pigs. So I am not sure what hutch to get- I will either get a 7ft single or a 7ft double - I am not sure which one to get because I thought that when I have only 2 guinea pigs if the hutch is double, well they might not be able to find each other!

Sorry I sound so stupid! I do not know which hutch to chose and I would really appreciate your input!

If you have enough space and can afford bit I would go for the double.
I kept my piggies in a 5ft single, when I got a 5ft double the space which they had looked so much bigger and my piggies became a lout more active.
They had not used a ramp before but mastered it quickly.
