Sorry I know this has been asked before but my guineas live in a sheltered garage, with no front on. Will this be suitable for them throughout the winter? If so, I've a blanket to go over the hutch is that enough?

Cannot bring them in as I've taken feral cats in and they would not be safe inside the house.

Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks

Is this your first winter with them outside? My piggies have always lived outside because I have no other choice as I rent. Mine are currently in a stable, and now have their hutch covers in place and I shut the stable doors at night. I worry about mine being too cold constantly but I just give them loads of hay to bury in. I also line the hutches with carpet in November, December time so they're warmer. Piggies can withstand the same temps as us, so I guess if it's too cold for you, then it's too cold for them… There's loads of fleece and blankets available so perhaps look into that but I'm not sure one blanket will suffice in December/January time. Hope this helps.
