My guinea pig has black eyes but when i look at him at the side his eyes are reddish/purple. do you know why?

It is a naturally occuring eye colour and down to your piggy's genes. I have one of those here right now (my Manon) but have had several over the years.
Guinea pig eyes have much greater natural variation than most people assume, especially in the (healthy) shadings from lighter pink to darker ruby to dark eyes with just a tinge of red in certain angles. There are no albinos in guinea pigs; just a normal range of coat colours with sometimes a genetic tie with a certain eye colour, sometimes not.
