Hi everyone,
I'm really concerned about my guinea pig foot I'm wondering does anyone know what I need to change or do In their hutch they have sawdust and hay she the only one out of 7 that have this on her foot, I've check the boys and they don't have it ( they are in different hutches) and I've check the 3 girls that are with her and they don't have nothing I've never seen a guinea pig foot like this before and I've been looking after guinea pig for 6-7 years now

Thank you

It looks like urine scald on her feet? Anyway, I’d have her checked over by a vet to see if there’s a medical reason why she’s sitting in her urine and to have the feet checked. My late Edward developed severe arthritis last summer and sat in his own faeces and urine causing him to develop bumble foot and I’d hate for the same thing to happen to your girl

Thank you I'll have to ring vets Monday as all of them are closed, I've got 4 girl's in the hutch all together and they kind of leave her out as normal she does her own thing running around ect sometime she goes with them but other time she is on her own.

Would it be because I clean them out every other day as I've never had it with my other guinea pigs and previous ones, I do checks as well

I have bath her tonight to see if the swelling would go down and this is what it look like.

There looks like there is an open wound? Please do see a vet in case it is a wound and it is now bumblefoot. Bumblefoot needs careful management and medications.
If it is bumblefoot, then her bedding needs to be kept dry and clean. You will need to remove bedding where she is sitting every day and probably several times a day.
