Guinea Pig Fight!?

I was out for most of the day so I'm not sure what happened, but when i came back i checked on my guinea pigs, and one of my guinea pig had a big scratch on her head which has also torn her hair out! I mean normally they have a few scraps here and there but normally they act nice to eachother! I dont know what they have done :l x

oh no, i have a group of 3 girls living with a netured boar and they do have little scuffs, but never fought bad, but I do have a girl which is nasty to other girls (she did have a partner, but he died this year) so she lives on her own. Maybe just keep a close eye on them and if they draw blood, seperate them - once this happened to me and i tried them back together and that was a bad mistake as it was more blood!

The thing is though, I brought them together at the petshop so like they were together in the cage, and they were all snuggling to each other. I dont understand. Unless maybe she caught it on something.

Hi Guinea Lover. Sorry to hear of your girls scuffles.

Unfortunately, I have 2 girls who were again sisters and have always been very close until today when they had a massive fight and one took a chunk out of the other ones face.

Take a look at my thread entitled "sows been fighting - please help". Wiebke has given some very good advice and been a great support to me today through my stressing over it all.

Sorry i cant be more helpful but many people on here will be able to give you some fab advice I'm sure.
