My little buddy's eye seemed crusty and was secreting a white fluid so I took him to the vet and they gave me some eye drops that were supposed to help, but it's been two weeks and there hasn't been improvement. I was hoping someone could help me maybe recognize what he has and suggest some remedies that could help? I already requested an appointment at a second vet for another opinion.

That looks to be a nasty infection and ulceration. Please take your piggy back to the vet urgently for further treatment - when is the second appointment you’ve booked?

What were the eye drops you were prescribed?
how many times a day were you to give the eye drops?

Please bear in mind that treatment of eyes is the same for all animals, so you can get your piggy seen by a general vet if your usual one isn’t available anytime soon. Did they ask you to take him in again if there was no improvement or for review?

He was prescribed ciprofloxacin twice a day for a week, but i've kept giving them to him for about 3.

Does it look better now?
if not, he needs to go back to the vet for a further check and possibly a different type of treatment

:agr: You need to take him back if he’s still not better.
